Trip 2. Day 2. June 24, 2019

Our bus dropped the participants off to the Villa at 3:30 am. Luggage was unloaded and sorted, rooms were located, water bottles refilled, and a very long travel day came to an end. Some went directly to bed – exhausted and badly needing sleep. Others opted for a quick swim to cool off before drifting off. This morning’s breakfast included cereal, hard boiled eggs, and waffles. Participants began rolling in to the main house at 8 am and all were up by 11. We swam, sunbathed and enjoyed the beautiful weather and villa until horseback riding at 2pm. Most participants did not have much riding experience, but once back at the villa all agreed that riding a horse along the beach and in the Caribbean was a bucket list item and simply unforgettable! Tonight we enjoyed eggplant, rice and a salad for dinner. The snack table is overflowing with goodies and it served as desert. After a getting-to-know you circle time, lights were out by 10pm. **The villa has been losing power each night, sometimes for hours. The generator kicks in to keep the essentials on, but it is impacting the wifi speed. I will continue to do my best to get photos up first, then type a few words about our day. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I quit trying to get photos up at 11 pm last night and was up at 5 am to finally get some ‘speed’. Most photos will be in albums on our GOES Facebook page.
